Prayer – Shine Your Light

We may come into this world without a single physical possession, but we are rich in gifts. We are radiant children of God. God has given every one of us gifts and an important calling. In Ephesians 4:1, Paul “implores us to walk in a manor worthy of our calling”. Life is busy and we have families, jobs and responsibilities. How do we find time for a life of significance?

In “Shine Your Light” we explore the role of prayer in finding how God can utilize our gifts and move our spiritual growth forward. We also look at what it means to follow Jesus, and what he specifically tells us about the kingdom of God.

Putting these three things together, prayer, following Jesus and finding our place in the kingdom of God, allows us to shine our light with joy beyond measure.

Grow Your Church

A prayer vigil and a marketing plan

The small neighborhood church is in distress. The members are aging; their numbers of members are dwindling. It looks like the end of a valuable and enduring piece of our heritage. But neighborhood church has always been a place of compassion and hope, a place where people meet God. It is a place to worship and pray. The gatherings and studies of the church have served to encourage growth in our spiritual journey. It represents outreach to people in need and the love of God. We must do all we can to save the neighborhood church.

Grow Your Church is an inspirational message and framework of a plan to assist the average church members in using a small number of people and a limited budget to utilize the twelve months and bring new people into the church and help it thrive and grow.

Traveling Light

We are overscheduled, over nourished, overwhelmed and without joy. The journey to simplicity does not require a large suitcase, or a complicated set of rules or directions. How do we get our lives back? Where do we find the joy and sense of purpose without being driven to exhaustion? It is a daily commitment and continuous journey to travel light. Take control and sort through our mental, spiritual and physical baggage and decide what is holding us back, what we should leave behind. The journey also involves finding what nurtures us, and restores us and gives us room for creativity.
