For nine years I had a children's music company and I created educational programs with original songs.  I played music in schools and community programs every day for thousands of children.  It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. I wrote a song called, "I Will Bring Love".  It was a song about what you would need to take with you to travel through life.  Before starting the song I would ask children what they would take, if they were going on a long trip.  This is the land of consumerism and you could tell by the enormous lists of things children felt they needed to bring along.  Some of the recurring items were:

1. Television
2. Books
3. Bags of food
4. Tent
5. Cans of gasoline
6. Pets
7. Siblings
8. Clothes
9. Stuff to build another house
10. An umbrella (probably not a bad idea)

This week another blog I love, Zenhabits, asked adults if they could fit what they needed to live in the trunk of their car.  The comments section looked much like the above mentioned list only add in laptops and ipods. I like to think everything in my house could be replaced.  I have several quilts that I have enjoyed making by hand over the years and some photos of my family.  I would like to take them along.  But I would love to travel light, certainly much lighter than I am traveling now. What I would like to travel with?  Here is what was in the song:
